Repost: Beware of Mice

As winter is here this previous post is very relevant as mice are looking for warm places to hide.

Sometimes it is amazing what you find when you go on a service call for a non-working treadmill.  Recently I went on a service call for a very high end treadmill that was giving the customer an error code that usually indicates the speed sensor is not working.  When I opened up the treadmill I saw what I thought was dust and string between the motor and speed sensor.  I went to remove the debris and much to my surprise it was the back end of a mouse and it's tail sticking out of a hole in the motor.  I am not going to go into the gross details of removing this freshly dead mouse, but I also found another dried up mouse inside the motor.  Even though the motor was damaged and the motor was no longer available from the manufacturer I was able to find a solution and fix the treadmill.  We have a very satisfied customer!  This was a very clean house, so this could happen to anyone.
